NEW TO THE ARC GALLERY – Point Line Plane Glass
Taking her inspiration from the changing landscapes and seasons of the British Isles, artist Alex Hoare creates stunning glassware which captures the colours, light and textures she experiences in special places which have been a constant delight to her, in particular Cornwall, Hampshire and Caithness. Her glassware is deliberately organic and asymmetrical with subtle textures and surface marks which create the tactile traces of the making process. The dazzling colours sing of a summer seaside or fields of wild spring flowers, autumn woodlands or beaches and cliffs in winter. Fabulously large platters and serving slabs, bowls and tea lights all make beautiful useable tableware.
