CARYS DAVIES CERAMICS – Brought up in Conwy, North Wales, Carys’ porcelain pots reflect the surrounding colours and textures of the coast and mountains, the copper of the Great Orme’s mines and the feldspars of the granite mines of Penmaenmawr. Often using words and poetry on her vessels, together with a mix of slip and volcanic glazes, Carys maximises the interaction involved in handling her pots.

Her ‘On the Horizon’ series brings together text from the shipping forecast with the meeting of the horizon.
