CARYS DAVIES CERAMICS – Brought up in Conwy, North Wales, Carys’ porcelain pots reflect the surrounding colours and textures of the coast and mountains, the copper of the Great Orme’s mines and the feldspars of granite mines of Penmaenmawr. Often using words or poetry on her vessels, together with a mix of slip and volcanic glazes, Carys maximises the interaction involved in handling her pots.

Her ‘Thorn’ series reflects a far green country, in winter, under a darkening sky.
